Ford Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge 2008

In 2008 national charity Wooden Spoon is celebrating its Silver Jubilee. Help us commemorate this milestone by taking part in the Spoon Challenges - a series of extra special fundraising events we are organising in aid of disadvantaged children and young people living in the UK and Ireland.

The Ford Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge is a multi-discipline team event that combines canoeing with cycling and running and takes place in the Lake District on Friday, May 16.

Could you paddle the length of England's longest lake, cycle 26m over its steepest passes and then climb Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain - all in the space of 12 hours?

There is no entry fee, but each team commits to raising £4,400 in support of Wooden Spoon's work. Entries in advance by post and online at

Contact Kerry for further details on this and the other 2008 Spoon Challenges on 01889 582 889 or email
