The End to End Challenge

Sat 18 Aug 2012 to Sat 25 Aug 2012

874 Mile Bike Ride from John O’Groats to Lands End in 7.5 days The End 2 End Challenge will take place between Saturday 18th August 2011 and Saturday 25th August 2012. Want to take part? Sign up now for 2012! The Route Without doubt the most taxing yet fulfilling of the Spoon challenges, this journey is where cyclists get to see Britain as never before. From the Lochs and Mountains of Scotland, to the beautiful landscape of the Cumbrian Lake District, through the gentle rolling tranquil Wye valley and onto the rugged Cornish Coast Line, 900 miles in a week is not easy, but an amazing achievement and a memory forever. Challenger Riders The Challenge was inspired in 2000 when our first group of intrepid riders set off for Land's End in aid of Wooden Spoon. They completed the route, sore but exhilarated, and since then we have been making this classic adventure achievable for many riders both men and women of all ages, some with vast experience, others with none. In 2011 we made headlines for ourselves by raising our biggest total so far of £125,232.46! We would love to break this record in 2012. Our aim is to create and inspire a group of up to 40 riders to achieve their goal whilst also achieving the goals of the Wooden Spoon charity. Working with this number of riders gives us the chance to support every participant individually and to create a great team. The 2012 Wooden Spoon End 2 End will be a great experience for all of those involved, join us and find out for yourself! Challenge Timetable The End 2 End Challenge starts at John O'Groats on Saturday 18th August 2012 and finishes at Lands End on Saturday 25th August 2012, a great place for your friends and family to welcome you home. Each day starts after a healthy breakfast having spent the night in the comfort of a bed and a cosy room. Riders start the day together but all ride at their own pace, with a morning coffee break, a hot lunch and afternoon tea, the journey becomes quite a social event. Our support team are excellent with vehicles and motorbikes to make sure that we are never far away, whether it takes a rider 10 hours to complete a day or 15, we will always be there.
