The Paris Marathon

Sun 15 Apr 2012

Take up a marathon challenge in this Olympic year. Run for The National Brain Appeal and help raised funds the one in six people in the UK with neurological disorders! The Paris Marathon on 15 April is one of the oldest and most scenic running events in the world starting at the Champs Elysees and winding its way through the famous sights of the city of romance. Ten million people in the UK suffer from a neurological disorder. This can be from birth, through a slowly developing illness or through brain injury. The National Brain Appeal is the charity dedicated to raising much-needed funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square, London. We help raise money for the latest technology and equipment vital in this fast moving field. We also support research programmes and fund state of the art building projects and refurbishments. We have raised almost £40 million since 1984 when the charity first began. The National Brain Appeal is proud to have fully funded the Molly Lane Fox Unit- The UK’s first dedicated brain tumour unit at The National which opened in March 2011. If you think you could raise at least £1,500 for The National Brain Appeal call Glen Pickard on 020 3448 4724 or email to book your place or for more information on this or our other running challenges for 2012.
