Moore and Nott Double Up
Louise Moore, 22, and Dan Nott, 19, both successfully defended their national titles this weekend at the Wakeboard UK National Championships held for the first time at Stithians Lake in Cornwall.
For Louise, the success over the 24th and 25th of August compliments the 2002 Tour Title she recently won and means she is still on track for a clean sweep of titles this year. Her 3 months training in Florida has put her in an excellent position to improve on last year’s runners-up spot at the World Championships later in the year and defend her European Title in Greece in early September.
Dan Nott also successfully dismissed all threats to his 2002 title and became the UK National Champion for the second year running. He also recently finished an impressive 2nd on the 2002 UK Wakeboard Pro Men’s Tour. Dan is also looking forward to this year’s European’s and World’s after an awesome 2001 which saw him win the Senior British Tour, the Pro European Championships and then finish an amazing 3rd in the World Championships, held in Sun City, South Africa.
Louise was very pleased with her continued UK success saying, “The conditions were great in Cornwall and winning in front of a home crowd gives me even more confidence for the coming World Championships.”
Dan spoke after his win saying, “I was determined to defend my title and it’s a great feeling to be UK National Champion for the second year running. I’m now really looking forward to the European’s and World’s later in the year.“
