Buccs ladies keep up promotion push with win at Swindon
2nd March 2009TeamBath Buccaneers ladies 1sts continued their promotion push with a 2-0 win over Swindon in West Women’s League Premier 1 at the weekend.
It was all-square at the break, but Buccs used their substitutes wisely in the second half and created many more goal scoring opportunities as Swindon tired.
Harry Hobbs opened the scoring deflecting in a shot from the top of the D. Man of the match Nicky Wilson made some crucial tackles at the other end as Swindon, who started the game just a point behind Buccs, pressed to get back on to level terms.
Wilson made sure Buccs bagged the points with a second goal from a short corner just before the final whistle.
