Aldermaston RFC Tag celebrates 6th event.

Aldermaston Rugby Club welcomed youngsters from twelve local schools to the Rec.Soc. AWE Aldermaston for their sixth Annual TAG tournament on 13th March 2010.

The well supported event drew schools from around the area, and the unpredictable
spring weather held fair for the competition that followed the popular format of pool matches for Upper and Lower age ranges, followed by a group winners Final to decide overall winners.

Copse Lower
In the Upper age group , the pool winners were not decide until the very last set of matches, and eventually Aldermaston, who had won the trophy for the past two seasons, would play new entrants Tadley School in the final. The lower final would be contested between Burnham Copse and Whitelands.

Ashford Hill
In a closely contested Lower final, Burnham Copse just pipped Whitelands to win by one try and Tadley, enthusiastically cheered on by parents and staff managed to end Aldermaston’s running streak, with a polished performance in Uppers.
Digger the London Irish mascot was on hand to join in the fun, and Aldermaston Juniors Secretary Angus Scott presented the trophies to the winning sides and goodie bags to all other entrants.
