David Harrison is the new chairman of Archery GB. He succeeds Lynne Evans, who has held the post since 2004. Trish Lovell is the new President, taking over from Tom Williamson.

David, from Newcastle, and currently the President of Northern Counties, beat rival candidate Nick Beeson in an election at the Annual Meeting, at Lilleshall.

A national judge, David has been an active archer for nearly 40 years, and set up the Newcastle based Bowmen of Walker club - he is still the club secretary!

As chairman of Archery GB, David promises to pay equal attention to archery's grassroots, the elite and the business side of the sport.

He said: "We are a membership-based society, this fact should not be forgotten. However, the need to maintain and enhance the elite, business side and grassroots is essential.

"To help and make this happen, we must engage with and listen to all of the membership, and therefore the needs of each part of our sport. By doing this, I know archery can grow, and become a true force in the world of sport."

Trish, from Kent, and a member of the Bowman of Woodstock, is well known in the world of archery at home and abroad. She is a distinguished international field archer, former world champion, and respected coach.

Her husband, Derrick, is also a tireless worker on behalf of archery, as a coach, judge and leading administrator.
