Britain's Nicky Hunt has won the women's compound silver medal at the first FITA World Cup tournament of the year.

Nicky lost out to Canada's Ashley Wallace in the final, but coming agonisingly close to her second successive Porec gold medal.

But after fighting her way back from behind in the match, she then missed out on the top prize when she lost 10-9 in a shoot-off.

"Nicky shot really well, and it's a cruel way to lose out in a gold medal match," said Performance Manager Barry Eley. "But it's been a good week for her, and she has every reason to be upbeat."

Earlier Simon Terry, Larry Godfrey and Mark Nesbitt missed out on a bronze medal when they lost to China in the bronze medal match of the men's recurve tournament.

But there is still a chance for Simon to return home with a medal - he's up against Jean-Charles Valladont of France in the recurve individual bronze medal match.
