Archery's National Series gets underway this weekend, with organisers looking to build on the success of last year's inaugural event.
As last year, archers from all over the country will take part in five tournaments, scoring points per event depending on final placings, with the top four in each category qualifying for the Grand Final in September.
The first leg of this year's event takes place at Evesham, where the tournament was launched on a wet and windy weekend 12 months ago.
After Evesham, the Series goes to Lilleshall in June, to Bronte Archers in Yorkshire, and then Andover in July, with the fifth and final leg taking place in Exmouth in August.
"I can't wait to get started again," said series organiser Jon Nott. "Last year was a great success, and we have been building on that during the winter to make this years' National Series even better.
"This is not just great fun for all those taking part, but it also offers the chance for our elite archers to have some serious competition on home soil, which hopefully helps their preparations for events like the World Cup and other major championships.
"Not only that, it also provides a wonderful opportunity for the up and coming archers to prove their mettle against the likes of Simon Terry, Nicky Hunt and Naomi Folkard, among others, and of course Lloyd Brown and Sara Symington get a chance to talent spot.
"And if last year is anything to go by, there will be some thrilling archery, and lots of twists and turns during the course of five legs, before we know the final line-up for the Grand Final - and even that produced tales of the unexpected, none more than Lucy O'Sullivan announcing her arrival as a serious player in British archery by beating Nichola Simpson in last year's womens' compound final.
Charlotte Burgess, Duncan Busby and Simon Terry were the other champions at last year's Grand Final, where the four finalists in each category all receive a cash prize.
This years tournament dates: first leg Evesham May 15/16, second leg Lilleshall June 26/27, third leg Bronte July 10/11, fourth leg Andover, July 24/25, fifth leg Exmouth, August 21/22.
