Isle of Man archer Aalin George is through to the gold medal match at the European Junior Cup, taking place in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
Aalin, who is still only 14, takes on Slovenia's Toja Cerne in the final of the women's compound cadet tournament, after an outstanding performance in the head to heads.
She eased past Victoria Selyukova of Russia 6-0, and then saw off the challenge of Holland's Jody Vermeulen in the semi-finals to guarantee herself a medal, and put herself within one match of the ultimate prize.
"It's a fantastic performance by Aalin in this, her first international performance," said Performance Manager Barry Eley. "She has enormous potential, and this underlines just why, it was a terrific effort, and we will all be cheering her on in the final.
"She's a star today, and will be a star in the future, and we're all very proud of her."
