Berkshire Women & Girls Trials

Open trials will be held at Wellington College on 25th Sept 2011 for the Berkshire Women and Girls CB (county) squads. Players should be a member of a Berkshire club, be born, live or go to school in Berkshire. There will be three squads: Seniors (over 18 on 1st Sept 2011), U18s (between 15 and less than 18) and U15 (13 and less than 15 on 1st Sept 2011). Registration for the U15s and U18s trials will be at 10am and the trial will be completed by 12.30. Seniors will register at 1pm and the trial will be completed by 3.30pm. Successful players will represent Berkshire in a series of games between October and December 2011 and the youth teams will also compete in a CB festival.
U18s and U15s players should also be aware that on two consecutive Sundays, Sept 11th and 18th 2011, the Berkshire Clubs will be getting together for development training days. Although these are club events, they are open to all so that if any players want to attend they will be most welcome. These sessions might act as "taster" sessions for newer players or as an opportunity for more experienced players to brush up on skills ahead of the trials. We will publish times and venues later but its likely to be 1-3pm.
The CB (county) squads now form a key step along the player development pathway so that players who wish to trial for the SW Divisional squads in January will need to be first selected for the CB squad and then be recommended for Divisional trial by their CB coaches based on their performance in the CB programme.
