Nuttal takes up Qatar role
12th September 2013British Athletics has today announced that Endurance Coach John Nuttall will be leaving the UK for a new role in Qatar.
Nuttall, who worked as a lead coach at the National Performance Institute in Loughborough has accepted a role as Head Coach at the Aspire Academy in Qatar.
“The British Athletics Endurance Programme has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and it’s been a privilege to have been involved in some of the success stories,” said Nuttall.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with some world-class athletes on the track, cross-country and road both at training venues and major championships around the world. The time is right for me to move on to a fresh challenge.
“I wish British Athletics all the best in the future.”
British Athletics Performance Director Neil Black said:
“On behalf of British Athletics I would like to place on record our thanks to John who has been a great support to the endurance programme in recent years and leaves it in very good health.
“We wish him well in what is obviously a very exciting opportunity.”
Nuttall will remain in position at British Athletics until early October.
